I’m just back from Amsterdam and had the most wonderful weekend stay at Hotel de L’Europe which is basically the Claridge’s of the city. Think old-school hospitality with incredible food, a superb location and an epic Bar called Freddie’s.

After more than a decade of writing about hotels, I often struggle when asked to name my favorites.
